Early Help Support at Sacred Heart

At Sacred Heart Primary School, we are committed to supporting our students and families in every way possible. One of the key ways we do this is through Early Help—a proactive approach that ensures children, young people, and their families receive the right support at the right time.

What is Early Help?

Early Help is about identifying and addressing concerns as soon as possible to prevent challenges from escalating. This could involve support with education, health, family relationships, emotional well-being, or any other area that may impact a child’s development.

How Does Early Help Work?

Early Help is a voluntary process where schools, local authorities, and other services work together with families to provide tailored support. This may include:
Providing advice and guidance on a range of issues
Connecting families with relevant services and professionals
Offering direct interventions, such as parenting support
Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to find the best solutions
Holding Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, where professionals and families come together to create a coordinated support plan tailored to the child's needs

How to Get Support?

If you think Early Help might benefit you or your child, please reach out to our school’s designated Early Help lead, Mrs. Nixon. You can also visit Lancashire County Council’s website for more details on local support services.
By working together, we can ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
