Daily Zoom Catch-up
Hello, and welcome to week three of our Home Learning. As we have been doing for the past week and a half, we will continue with our daily Zoom chats at 9.15 in the morning and again at 2.30 each afternoon. The login details will stay the same. It has been great to be able to keep in touch with so many of you and I really enjoy hearing what you have been up to every day.
Remember, it is important to take regular breaks from learning and spend time on other things - go for a walk, ride your bike or do some colouring!
As always, if you have any questions you can contact me on Class Dojo or ask on the Zoom catch-up.
I will put some useful links here. This is not extra work, just interesting things which you can look at any time. They might support your learning or they might just be something a bit different.
This first link will take you to the BBC iplayer programme call 'Perfect Planet'. There are lots of clips and each episode of the series. This will help to support your science work on habitats. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p08xc2lh
This next link takes you to a website with a series of quizzes on lots of different subjects. Choose any quiz (they are all 10 questions and multiple choice). You can find something you are good at/interested in or something you have never learnt about before. https://www.dkfindout.com/uk/quiz/
There is a slight change in our Maths this week. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday there will be some NEW Maths work. This is continuing with the work on multiplication and division we started in school before Christmas. On each of these days I will upload a PowerPoint which, when you play it, will talk you through some new learning. I will also explain this during the morning Zoom call. There will be a short worksheet linked to this new learning. As usual, if you have any questions please ask me on Zoom or by Dojo.
I have also put on some Maths work to cover the other two days (Tuesday and Thursday) which will help you to recap on things we did in the Autumn term.
This week's Friday Challenge is a drawing challenge. On Rob Biddulph's website http://www.robbiddulph.com/draw-with-rob you will find 70 videos with different things to draw. You will need to copy and paste the link into your browser. Choose any video you like and follow the tutorial, stopping it whenever you need to. Colour it in and then share it with me on Dojo or on our Zoom call at 2.30.
Grammar work with a PowerPoint lesson will appear here on Tuesday and Thursday this week. There will be some teaching first and then tasks to complete similar to the new maths work you will have seen above.
You may remember that Tuesdays is our Mindfulness drawing day so today I have found something fun and simple. Follow the link below to watch some great drawing tutorials by the illustrator Rob Biddulph. Whichever drawing you choose, don't forget to send me a picture of it afterwards. Enjoy!
