Reading in Year 3
We will be reading in class every day in guided groups and at every opportunity children will be read with on a one to one basis in class. The children will bring home a reading book at the end of every day to read at home. These books will be changed on a Friday.
It is important for the children to be able to ask questions about the text and discuss books with other people: Do they like the book? Why do they like/dislike it? How would the character be feeling? What do you think will happen next? Please ensure that our excellent standard of reading continues at home and children are continually supported and encouraged to enjoy reading a wide range of literature.
This is a great opportunity to read with your children and listen to their fantastic imaginations and ideas.
