Dear Parents and carers,
Welcome back to the summer term. I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter and that all the lovely Easter eggs have been fully enjoyed.
Our theme this half term is ‘The Great Outdoors’ so let’s hope there is some decent weather so we can actually enjoy the great outdoors. In Geography we will be looking at the area around school and the school grounds, comparing it with more rural and inner city areas. In Science we will be exploring different materials, including those which are natural and man-made. We shall be looking at properties of different materials and considering why different materials are suited to different purposes.
I have attached our full curriculum map for the half-term below.
Our reading challenge continues, so please continue to read with your child and talk to them about the books they have read. In June the children will be undertaking the phonics screening, so we will be working hard towards that.
Reading books and diaries need to be in school daily.
Named PE kits need to be in school for our lessons on Wednesday afternoons.
Toast is £1 per week and money needs to be given in on Monday morning.
I have uploaded our class homework grid for this half-term below, please send any completed homework into school on Thursdays.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns, I am available every day after school.
Thank you for you continued support, I look forward to a hard-working and exciting half-term with your children.
